What is a PDF document? PDF stands for “Portable Document Format.” PDF format is used to save files that cannot be modified in the foreseeable future. PDF documents are easy to share or print. Word documents can be converted to PDFs for easy sharing. The PDF format was originally created by Adobe. There are now dozens of PDF readers and even editors. The fact that a PDF document is hard to edit isn’t the same as it can’t be edited. But anyone who has tried advanced PDF editing would agree with me that the free PDF editors have limitations. Some cannot add hyperlinks and pictures or use the original fonts in the PDF. As far as I know, only premium Adobe PDF software can hyperlink PDFs.
